Building a future in theatre
Over eight days in November 2021, Punchdrunk Enrichment invited ten young people from the Royal Borough of Greenwich who were not currently in education, employment or training to build an immersive theatre set.
A paid opportunity, the team worked closely with Punchdrunk Enrichment creatives to learn new skills and pick up an Arts Award in the process.
At the University of Greenwichâs Bathway Theatre, each young person choose an area to gain hands-on experience in during the build, including:
- Carpentry
- Scenic art
- Set and props
The Woolwich Hall of Fame was a celebration of local heroes past and present. You can explore the final installation in this video.
The project was a Royal Borough of Greenwich Heritage Action Zone project supported by Historic England.
