PEOPLE

Jo-Ann Briel

Jo-Ann works closely with Polly in the development team to provide philanthropic opportunities for individuals and organisations that share our passion for transformational theatre. Jo-Ann believes that one should be as committed to the vision of transforming lives as one is to funding it.
She has worked in education as a Special Educational Needs Coordinator, Drama and Dance teacher and Voice and Movement lecturer. Her previous experience of fundraising was for shows she directed and she is most proud of her published chapter on the use of an acting vocal technique (Lessac’s vocal NRG’s) as a writing strategy.
Jo-Ann is a certified SENCO Level 5, has participated in an Introduction to Fundraising course and is working towards her Copywriting Diploma. Jo-Ann holds an honours degree in Drama and Film studies from the University of Pretoria.
